Working Characteristics
SC-type single-lip oil seal, which falls under the category of rotating oil seals, features a single-lip design. This simple yet efficient structure delivers particularly outstanding sealing performance in dust-free environments. Compared to double-lip oil seals, the absence of an additional dust-proof lip makes the SC-type oil seal more compact in structure, lighter in weight, and more cost-effective. The internal metal skeleton provides a stable support structure, ensuring that the oil seal does not deform due to external forces during installation and long-term use, maintaining its optimal sealing shape. A self-tightening spiral spring wrapped around the inner side of the lip automatically adjusts the clamping force on the shaft based on its rotational conditions. When the shaft rotates at high speeds, causing vibrations, or when temperature changes cause slight deformation of the shaft, the spring promptly compensates for the gap, maintaining constant sealing pressure between the lip and the shaft, significantly enhancing the reliability and durability of the seal.
The diversity of materials expands the application scope of the SC-type single-lip oil seal. Nitrile rubber, with its excellent oil resistance and wear resistance, is widely used in general industrial applications.
