Composition

 
The outer layer is an iron shell, designed for steel rotating shafts or cast iron pool holes. For sealing, double lip with spring, low coefficient of friction, pressure resistance about 0.03Mpa.
It is one of the common standard models of skeleton oil seal, belongs to rotary oil seal, used for sealing in oil and dusty occasions, withstanding pressure within 0.03MPa (0.3kgf/m2), widely used. According to the different use of media, pressure and temperature, choose different materials.
 
 

Materials

Nitrile rubber (NBR)
Performance characteristics: good heat resistance, wear resistance, resistance to all kinds of lubricating oil, grease, oil and gas mixtures, etc., applicable temperature is generally in the range of - 40 ℃ ~ 120 ℃.
Application advantages: relatively low cost, good overall performance, can meet the sealing needs of many conventional working conditions, can be used in automotive engines, gearboxes and other parts of the oil seal.

Fluorine rubber (FKM)
Performance characteristics: outstanding aging resistance, heat resistance, oil resistance, almost applicable to all lubricants, fuel oils, gasoline, in the oil containing extreme pressure additives are not easy to harden, however, cold resistance, high temperature abrasion resistance is poor, permanent compression deformation is larger, applicable temperature of -26 ℃ ~ 250 ℃.
Application Advantage: It can be used in some occasions with very high requirements for oil resistance and heat resistance, such as high-end equipment in aerospace, chemical industry and other fields.

Silicone Rubber
Performance characteristics: outstanding high and low temperature resistance, in the - 70 ℃ ~ 260 ℃ working temperature range can maintain its unique use of elasticity and ozone resistance, weather resistance and other advantages.
Application Advantage: It can be used in some special working conditions that require high resistance to high and low temperatures and good elasticity, such as some mechanical seals in high temperature or extremely cold environments.
